Assembly Technician - Elgin, IL 1st Shift
$17/hr
Job Description We are looking for an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing and assembly, with the ability to lift 60-80 lbs as this is a very physical job. You will be trained on our processes to produce various linear motion rails for different applications. Candidates must pass a required math test and have a strong attendance and consistent work history.
Responsibilities - Perform assembly and testing of products
- Lift up to 80 lbs regularly
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Perform basic soldering tasks
- Maintain a strong attendance record
- Work on a temp-to-hire basis
Essential Skills - Previous manufacturing experience
- Ability to perform basic blueprint reading
- Strong attendance history
- Consistent work history
Additional Skills & Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Basic mechanical assembly skills
- Soldering experience (preferred but not required)

Work Environment You will be working on our manufacturing floor, which is shared with our warehouse. The facility is spacious, well-lit, clean, heated in the winter, and air-conditioned in the summer. We moved to a new facility in August 2018, which provides a modern and comfortable work environment. The work hours are 7 AM - 3:30 PM, with two 10-minute breaks at 10 AM and 3 PM, and an hour-long lunch.
