Position Overview The Forvis Mazars audit team provides assurance services that go beyond compliance. We bring credibility to our clients' financial statements, communicate information objectively, and offer insights to improve their businesses. As an Audit Manager, you will deliver exceptional client service, manage audit engagements, collaborate with associates and the engagement partner, and liaise with clients. Key Responsibilities Identify and evaluate audit risks, plan engagements, and execute audit plans to ensure comprehensive and defendable documentation. Review engagement work papers promptly and professionally. Implement new and emerging accounting standards. Provide expertise on GAAP and industry-specific accounting practices. Draft and review client deliverables demonstrating effective communication skills. Manage multiple engagements to meet deadlines without disrupting clients or the team. Maintain client relationships, oversee engagement fundamentals, and ensure client satisfaction. Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders about project developments and conclusions. Develop client networks and industry resources; contribute to team growth through marketing efforts. Mentor and develop professional staff. Complete CPE requirements specific to nonprofit and public sectors, including GAGAS standards. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant audit experience. CPA license required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with audits of nonprofit organizations and public entities. Preferred Attributes Experience with tribal entities and single audits. Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Willingness to travel to client sites. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills across diverse backgrounds. Deep knowledge of current audit and accounting standards. Interest in mentoring and training others.
