We are in search of a Bilingual School Receptionist (English/Spanish) for Salvaggio Academy, located on the campus of Cedar Crest College. This is a full-time, onsite position in Allentown, PA.

The Bilingual School Receptionist at Salvaggio Academy plays a crucial role as the first point of contact for the school. They must be friendly, warm, and welcoming while assisting visitors, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries from parents, students, and school personnel.
This position is 40 hours /week Monday-Friday 8 am – 4 pm.
What You’ll Do
Welcome visitors, provide the necessary information, and direct them to the appropriate person or location
Handle incoming phone calls, provide information, take messages, and direct calls to relevant staff members
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate deliveries
Respond to inquiries from parents, students, and the public, assisting and resolving issues whenever possible
Track students' daily attendance, ensuring accurate records are maintained. You may also coordinate with teachers and administrators to follow up on absences and handle attendance-related matters
Ensure clear and open communication throughout the dismissal process to foster understanding and transparency
Coordinate transporation for students
Prepare and distribute monthly school calendars and distributing them
Provide support with Gradelink on family updates
Monitor the scheduling of lunch and recess
Assist with various administrative tasks, such as handling correspondence, filing documents, and managing mail
Monitor visitors, implement visitor sign-in procedures, and ensure the security of the school premises
Act as a liaison between students, parents, staff, and administration, facilitating communication and ensuring smooth school operations
Handle sensitive information, such as student records and personal details, which must be strictly confidential
Manage school supplies, coordinate transportation arrangements, or assist with special events or projects
Support the enrollment and registration by providing information to prospective students and their families and collecting necessary documents
Support school events, such as assemblies, fundraisers, open houses, or parent information sessions
What You’ll Need
Required:
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years of previous supervisory experience or related work experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and other related programs
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, receive and provide feedback, and manage dynamic interchanges in meetings
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
