Exciting Opportunity: Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are on the lookout for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team. At MSK, we recognize and champion the vital role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist in enhancing clinical settings and delivering exceptional value to our patient population. Our highly skilled nursing team, comprising over 40 Clinical Nurse Specialists, is committed to excellence in the art and science of professional nursing, providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients and families living with cancer in a healing and innovative environment.

Role Overview

  • Provide clinical leadership in evidence-based oncology nursing practice, education, consultation, and research.
  • Support MSK's patients with cancer diagnoses and the nursing staff who care for them.
  • Coordinate the implementation of practice standards with colleagues across sites.
  • Demonstrate positive quality outcomes related to nurse-sensitive indicators and patient and staff satisfaction.
  • Promote a patient-centered environment through collaboration with nursing leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support and cultivate Relationship-Based Care in all aspects of care delivery.
  • Disseminate MSK oncology nursing practice standards and outcomes through presentations and evidence-based research findings.

Key Qualifications

  • Current NY State RN license with CNS qualification required.
  • NY State RN license and NY State CNS qualification preferred (can be obtained within the first 6 months of employment).
  • Master's degree in nursing.
  • National certification.
  • 3+ years of related oncology experience.
  • Experience in an advanced nursing role is strongly preferred.
  • Self-direction and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

  • Location: 1275 York Avenue, NYC
  • Reporting to: The Associate Director, Evidence-Based Practice
  • Schedule: Day shift CNS position, 4 10-hour shifts, with weekend coverage.

Pay Range: $133,500 - $220,400
