Controls Project Engineer- Onsite / Local Candidates Only- 25% Travel Required - No Corp to Corp

About the Role

The Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Project Engineer to join our expanding business. They are seeking an individual who has experience designing and integrating industrial automation solutions for the industry. The Project Engineer would have the unique opportunity to learn and apply their skills in industrial automation over a range of industries.

Responsibilities

• Technical Project Engineering and Project Management of orders
• Work closely with the engineering group to design custom control solutions for industrial machinery and process equipment
• Develop circuit diagrams using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
• Select hardware and create BOM (bill of materials)
• Design panel layout of hardware components
• Write or modify PLC programs to customer specification
• Develop or modify HMI screens to customer specification
• Develop SCADA system on larger scope projects
• Factory system test prior to shipment
• Travel to site for inspection and system commissioning
• Develop and improve upon engineering standards
• Work independently and in project groups
• Travel domestically and internationally
• Project Quotations and occasional customer sales calls

Qualifications

Minimum three years’ experience

• Able to program Rockwell and Siemens PLC’s, Operator Interfaces, and SCADA systems
• Proficient with Variable Frequency Drive Systems and/or motor control applications
• Proficient with AutoCAD or AutoCAD electrical (Optional)
• Familiar with machine control design
• Written and oral communication skills

Education

BSEE, BSME, or BSCE

Travel

Ability to travel domestically and International 25%
