Job Description Essential Functions Execute model development and performance tracking for risk models, generate performance analysis at the aggregate level, as well as issuer level. Interpret and present performance results to non-technical audiences. Compile complex predictive model packages for production deployment, support model installations, and monitor and calibrate production models. Propel analytic product development by conducting statistical analyses on various data sources, adding value to products through innovation and analysis. Identify opportunities to automate repeatable analyses or build self-service tools for business users. Support sales and business efforts with sound statistical and financial analysis; execute ad hoc analyses to meet market demands. Conduct transaction data analyses using Hadoop, Cloud, and big data technologies for internal and external product owners; develop deeper insights using advanced statistical methods. Ensure project delivery within timelines and meet critical business needs. Promote big data innovations and analytic education throughout the organization. This is a hybrid position. Employees can alternate between remote and office work, with an expectation of being in the office at least 60% of the time based on business needs. Qualifications Basic 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD). 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years with an Advanced Degree. A Master’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, or Engineering. Successful internships or at least 6 months of experience in predictive modeling. Preference for candidates with extensive experience in predictive modeling functions. PhD in a quantitative field is a plus. Strong background in machine learning, AI algorithms, computations, statistical learning theory, scalable systems (Spark, Hadoop), large-scale data analysis, optimization, or deep learning. Experience with advanced techniques and emerging approaches (Python, Spark, TensorFlow, H2O, Dask, etc.), and proficiency in SQL and Hive. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Team player capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of the financial and payment industry or experience with fraud modeling is a plus. Understanding of deep learning concepts such as embedding, CNN/RNN/Transformer, Attention, etc. Functional Data Engineering skills: Linux/Unix environment, programming in Python, SQL, Java, Golang, Rust, or C/C++, experience with large-scale data ingestion, processing, and storage, and familiarity with scheduling tools like Airflow. Additional Information Work Hours: Varies based on department needs. Travel Requirements: 5-10% of the time.
