Title: Electrical Supervisor

Employment Type: Direct-Hire

Location: Oregon, WI

Salary: $100,000 - $120,0000

SHIFT:

Production works 6am – 4:30pm M-Th and up to 10 hours on Fridays. They are working mandatory 50’s right now.

The shop is open on Saturdays (typically 6am – 4:30pm), however it is volunteer only.

JOB DESCRIPTION

-Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

-Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and panel boards.

-Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes.

-Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

-Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

-Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.

-Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

-Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

-Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

-Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

-Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

-Maintains time and production records

-Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials

-Confers with other staff to coordinate activities of individual departments

-Sets up machines and equipment

-Oversee all electrical apprentices

-Performs activities of workers supervised.

-Performs quality control testing of product buildings for compliance to intended operations performance, corrects installation defects and provides process follow-up documentation.

-Endeavors to create a workplace environment that is enjoyable, engenders pride in the product and focus on the customer, and provides room for individual responsibilities and ideas.

-Willing to work overtime, as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

-State of Wisconsin Master Electrician License is preferred

-10+ years of electrical experience + leadership

-Journeyman license is preferred - could be traded for experience

-Coach, train and mentor, hold team accountable, have tough convos

-Used to working fast paced detail-oriented environment, organized

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

-Preferably construction background instead of manufacturing

-Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

-Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

-Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

-Computer Skills: Computer skills primarily include manufacturing equipment operation and only as trained. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and email is desired .
