Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain relationships with geriatric care providers, including primary care physicians, specialists, and long-term care facilities.
Serve as the primary liaison between the healthcare organization and providers to address concerns, resolve issues, and improve network performance.
Ensure provider network adequacy by recruiting and contracting with qualified healthcare professionals specializing in geriatrics.
Educate providers on policy updates, reimbursement guidelines, and quality initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Monitor provider performance metrics and collaborate on quality improvement strategies.
Handle provider inquiries regarding claims, credentialing, contract terms, and compliance requirements.
Work closely with internal teams, including claims processing, utilization management, and member services, to support seamless care delivery.
Stay up to date with industry regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care policies, to ensure network compliance.
Identify trends, potential gaps, and areas for network development to enhance geriatric patient care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in provider relations, network management, or healthcare administration, preferably in geriatric care.
Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care networks.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyze provider data and implement strategies for network optimization.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and provider credentialing processes.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to travel as needed for provider meetings and network development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with long-term care facilities, home healthcare agencies, and geriatric specialists.
Certification in healthcare management or provider network administration is a plus.
Work Environment:
Standard office setting with remote or hybrid options available depending on company policy.
Occasional travel required for provider site visits and meetings.
