Overview

We are on the lookout for a Clinical Specialist to join our Practice Integration Team . This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a technology-focused Dental Services Organization (DSO) that is experiencing remarkable growth through direct-to-consumer initiatives, de novo clinics, and acquisitions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in onboarding, engaging, assessing, training, and supporting staff at newly acquired clinics as they transition into the Sage Dental family.

If you are highly organized, possess exceptional interpersonal skills, and are comfortable leading training sessions, this could be the perfect fit for you! This role is ideal for a dental assistant looking to step into a training and traveling support position.

Please note: This position requires up to 90% travel time, and candidates must reside in Florida, Georgia, or Tennessee.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate actively in the setup and operational launch of new clinics.
• Conduct initial assessments of newly acquired clinics to identify gaps and develop tailored training plans for a smooth PMS conversion.
• Provide on-the-job training, shadowing, and mentorship to familiarize clinical teams with Sage Dental workflows and operational procedures.
• Cover training topics including PMS, treatment planning, clinical initiatives, technology, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and ethical practices.
• Perform pre- and post-compliance audits.
• Collaborate with other Practice Integration Specialists and stakeholders to align training with practice goals.
• Offer onsite and remote support throughout the clinic transition process.
• Communicate proactively about any challenges that may impact training schedules.
• Manage checklists and multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail.
• Continuously update training materials to reflect the latest industry standards.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for understanding new policies and operational processes.
• Interact positively with a diverse range of individuals, maintaining professionalism in challenging situations.
• Take on additional projects to support organizational growth and development.
• Travel to assigned locations, including overnight stays as required.

Qualifications

• Certifications:
  • Dental Assistant Certification - required
  • Radiology Certification - required
  • EFDA Certification - preferred
• If an internal candidate, 6+ months of experience at Sage Dental is required.
• Preference for candidates with 3+ years of dental assistance experience.
• Proficiency in practice management systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Denticon).
• In-depth understanding of dental procedures, treatment planning, and compliance regulations.
• Knowledge of front office operations and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate challenges, and problem-solve effectively.
• Passion for advocating new clinical tools and technological advancements.
• Strong leadership skills for conducting engaging training sessions.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays and weekends as needed.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clinical staff, fostering collaboration.
• Great understanding of change management.
• Attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work.
• Commitment to thorough assessments of clinical practices and training alignment.
