Who we are looking for

The Quality Assurance Analyst will be part of the team responsible for leading the planning, analysis, and implementation of State Street’s Credit Risk IT systems. The role involves implementing a program of system enhancements to improve risk management capabilities through better data quality, system performance, and faster risk reporting. The program addresses gaps in credit risk measurement, data management, core systems, risk infrastructure, and reporting, and is phased over multiple years. The analyst will liaise with project sponsors, developers, and stakeholders to manage requirements and facilitate solutions. The position requires working under minimal supervision while updating senior management on issues and project status.

What you will be responsible for

As a Quality Assurance analyst, you will:

  1. Lead testing efforts for Credit Risk projects and daily QA activities in your discipline.
  2. Attend High-Level Design (HLD) Walkthroughs and identify testing requirements.
  3. Prepare Test Strategy and Test Scenarios.
  4. Review test cases and results.
  5. Conduct functional demos for business users.
  6. Hold testing and defect status meetings.
  7. Participate in IT and Business stakeholder meetings.
  8. Ensure compliance with GQS and Corporate Standards.
  9. Engage in daily stand-ups, iteration planning, product demos, and retrospectives.
  10. Collaborate with Business and Development teams to resolve quality issues and share information.
  11. Contribute to established goals and objectives.
  12. Demonstrate a track record of high-quality delivery and experience working in an agile environment.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of QA Lead/Manager experience, managing testing activities and developing test suites for end-to-end regression testing.
  • Experience in Financial Risk, Regulatory, and Investment Banking.
  • Experience testing Data-Centric Applications.
  • Proficiency in database testing and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with Oracle and database management tools.
  • Ability to write and analyze UNIX shell scripts and commands.
  • Experience automating database/ETL tests using automation tools.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with test data-centric applications.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including macros.
  • Knowledge of tools like SQL Developer, Toad, Putty, WinSCP.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent test management and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with Business and Development teams.
  • Ability to prepare and present weekly/monthly metrics to teams and management.

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $142,500 annually.

The salary range applies to the primary location; it may differ if working outside that location.
