Surgery Scheduling Specialist – Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates Clinic – Full-Time, Days Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: 8160 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 100, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates Clinic Highlights: For more than 50 years, Gynecological and Obstetrical Associates has been providing quality women’s healthcare services. Our team of board-certified doctors and office staff strive to provide compassionate and quality care while being responsive and efficient. Our services include providing both low risk and high-risk obstetrical care. We provide a full range of surgical services, including laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and endometrial ablation techniques. Here’s What You Need High School Diploma or Equivalent (required) 2 Years related experience in Healthcare environment (preferred) EPIC experience (preferred) Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism Requires strong customer skills Good communication skills A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician Coordinates, registers and schedules appointments for patients according to availability Conducts physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care Ensures all required tests needed prior to surgery are done Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments Communicates and answers patients’ questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure Performs other duties as assigned Additional perks of being a Texas Health employee Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program as well as several other benefits.
