Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Systems/Product Design Engineer for a client in Salt Lake City, UT.

Rate Range: $43.00/hour to $47.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

This role is onsite in Salt Lake City, and will be on our team supporting advanced medical devices.

For this particular assignment, candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in system design and product development, with direct experience in regulatory compliance. You’ll play a key role in refining existing product documentation and ensuring continued regulatory alignment as part of an accelerated product remediation initiative.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in system/product design with medical devices.
• Strong experience in system design in a multi-disciplinary organization.
• Must have experience in a regulatory environment with strict compliance.
• Strong experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated to products.
• Strong analytical skills and accurate judgment making skills.
• Ability to work in ambiguity, obtain consensus, handle multiple priorities, and identify creative solutions to complex problems.
• High level of personal accountability and integrity.
• Ability to deal effectively with internal and external collaborators.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent communications skills; written and verbal.
• Experience with Codebeamer and/or JIRA.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science related field; biomedical engineering preferred.
