Weekend Nanny / Housekeeper (Live-out)

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday (weekend coverage)
Additional Hours: Opportunity to work additional hours during the week if desired

Description:
A private family in Short Hills, NJ is seeking a reliable, caring, and experienced  Weekend Nanny / Housekeeper to support household operations and care for their three young children. This role is focused on  Saturday and Sunday coverage , but the family is open to providing  additional weekday hours for candidates seeking a fuller schedule.

The ideal candidate will be warm, proactive, and confident managing both childcare and housekeeping tasks, and comfortable working collaboratively with other household staff. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and age-appropriate care for three children, including activities, supervision, and support with daily routines
• Engage with the children in a nurturing, patient, and responsible manner
• General housekeeping, including deep cleaning and tidying of common areas and children's rooms
• Family laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care
• Assist with basic meal prep for the children (and family, if needed)
• Run errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning, and supply runs
• Provide support with light pet care and occasional plant care
• Answer house phone and receive guests in a warm and professional manner
• Assist with service during family meals and informal events

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar nanny/housekeeping role in a private home
• Strong references from both current and previous employers
• Proficient English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Experience caring for multiple children, including toddlers and young school-aged kids
• Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented, hands-on approach
• A team player who is flexible, reliable, and proactive
• Comfortable around water and able to supervise children while swimming
• Valid U.S. work authorization
• Valid driver’s license and confidence driving in NJ
