Location: Corvalis, Oregon

Work Model: Fully onsite position

Duration: 3 year contract, potential extentions

Estimated Pay Rate: 40-52/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience level, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance. Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Controls Engineering.
• Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam as part of the Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• 1-7 years of experience in site infrastructure and project engineering in cleanroom or wet lab environments at Semiconductor, Pharmaceuticals, or Biotechnology companies preferred.
• Knowledge of project processes and collaboration with project managers, construction managers, system engineers, and designers.
• Understanding of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and control panel system design.
• Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and HMI software development.
• Ability to read and interpret discrete and analog control signals, including PID controllers.
• Skills in field verification, creating field notes, reading and interpreting drawings and schematics, and updating schematic drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organization, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

• EIT License or Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Understanding of electrical code requirements.
• Knowledge of 3-phase power generation, distribution, and metering.
• Experience with Emerson RX3i and GE Cimplicity platforms.
• Familiarity with Square D, GE, or Allen Bradley products.
• Skills in breaker coordination, fault studies, and arc flash calculations.
• Proficiency with electrical design tools and software packages (e.g., PTW, EZPOWER, Power World Simulator, Power Metering demand Software).

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Electrical + I&C Project Engineer to support a global technology client in Corvallis, Oregon. In this role, you will:

• Develop and manage Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) scopes of work for infrastructure projects, including modifications or new systems.
• Consult on high-priority projects and review scopes with system engineers.
• Perform field verification of Electrical and I&C drawings and conduct field investigations.
• Participate in project reviews to ensure designs meet scope requirements and update drawings and documents with project revisions.
• Oversee infrastructure projects, resolve issues, and meet project milestones.
• Support the startup of installed equipment and collaborate with Program Managers, Vendors, and other third parties.

This position is based in a standard office environment with occasional work in manufacturing and construction settings. It requires being onsite in Corvallis, Oregon, 5 days a week. Relocation candidates are welcome but must relocate on their own.
